Our Congregation
Our Pastor
Our congregation is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran
Synod (WELS), an association of over 1200 congregations in the USA,
Canada and the English-speaking Caribbean, headquartered in Synod
entitled: "This We Believe".
Pastor Richard Schleicher has been serving as our pastor
since late 1999.

He was born and raised in Michigan, completed his pastoral
training at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1976 and has
previously served congregations in Indiana, New Hampshire,
and New York.

He is married  with five adult children. He and his wife, Ellen,
live in the parsonage next to the church.

Pastor also currently serves the Synod as the Chairman of the
Board of Directors of the WELS Church Extension Fund, Inc.
Our Services and Organizations
SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES take place every Sunday morning at
9:00 AM. Prince of Peace gladly welcomes visitors.

SUNDAY SCHOOL for children and BIBLE CLASSES for teens and
adults are held each Sunday following our worship service.  These
classes begin with an opening devotion in the church at
10:15AM.

MIDWEEK BIBLE STUDY is held weekly on Wednesday evenings at
7:30PM, except during the Advent and Lenten seasons when we have
midweek worship services instead.  This class meets in the Fellowship
Hall. All are welcome!

CONFIRMATION INSTRUCTION is provided for children in 7th and 8th
grades to prepare them for communicant membership at Prince of
Peace.    These classes run from September to May. The weekly
schedule of these classes will be determined in consultation with the
parents of the students.

BIBLE INFORMATION CLASSES are offered for those who desire to
learn more about what the Lutheran Church believes and teaches.  Call
or e-mail Pastor Schleicher for the schedule of these classes or to join
an already existing class.

THE WOMEN of our congregation meet monthly for fellowship in a
group called PoPLadies.  These meetings are currently held on the first
Monday of each month at 7:30PM in the Fellowship Hall.  There is a
brief business meeting and a speaker, demonstration or topic of study.

PRIME TIMERS is our fellowship group for those 50 and older.  They
meet monthly on the third Friday.

A  FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITY is scheduled for nearly every month to allow
our members to get to know one another better.

WE ALSO HAVE a kids' group, PoPKIDS,  which meets monthly on the
third Sunday from 1-2:30PM in the Fellowship Hall.

TEEN FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITIES are also regularly planned.  Watch the
church calendar for more details.
